I finally got around to updating my iPhone Resources page with a bunch of new links to aviation related apps. If you are both an iPhone fan and an aviation nut, please check it out and let me know if I am missing any.

Yeah, but is the table top my Guinness is sitting on level? That’s what I really need an iPhone for!
What good does it do you if the table is level, but you are not?
I flew with a guy this past week that had this app on his iphone:

I didn’t see it on your list and I apologize if you already know of it. Worth a peek – stayed quite stable for the short flight we took.
Thanks J. Yea, I know of it, but I am trying to keep the list to legit applications with with a real aviation purpose.
From what I have read, due to nature of the iPhone and its accelerometers, it is impossible to build a true working AI. The reviews seem to indicate that this app, and others like it, only provide bank indications uncoordinated turns such as in your car. Therefore, it falls into the “entertainment” category.
That being said, maybe I’ll put a “Fun Stuff” category at the bottom of the page where apps such and this and flight sims like X-Plane can live… Hmmmmm.
PS – You’ll be hangin out with JoeF (above) and I at AirVenture this summer. He flys for your big brother.
D@mn you… look what you’ve started!
Check out the bottom of the “iPhone Resources” page.
LOL – I’ll probably be the next iphone convert, but that means I need to buy 6 of them to make a standard T stack!
Bread, love the stuff you’ve got on this website. The “Iphone Resources” page is simply amazing, just what I was looking. Now I am a convert!
With Regards,
Haroon (Singapore)
