You’ve probably figured out by now that my name is Brad, and I am a pilot. I’ve been flying on and off since I was 15 years old; in fact I soloed an airplane before I drove a car by myself. I’ve been very passionate about all things aviation related from a very young age, and worked my way from plastic models, to R/C planes, and eventually into the cockpit of real aircraft.
I currently hold my Private Pilot’s licence (PP-SEL) and I have tailwheel and high-performance endorsements. Shortly after obtaining my license, I competed in several aerobatic competitions where I flew at the Sportsman level.
Over many years I have flown the following types of aircraft and I am always looking to add to the list; Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Citabria 7ECA, Citabria 7KCAB, Diamond DA20, Diamond DA20-C1, Extra 300, Piper Tomahawk (PA38-112), Piper Warrior (PA28-161), Pitts S-2B, Pitts S-2C, Stearman PT-17, Van’s RV-7, Van’s RV-9A.
Currently I fly only for fun, as a hobby, but I have always wanted to be a CFI (Certified Flight Instructor), and I am working towards that ultimate goal.
I am also in the process of building my own airplane, a Van’s RV-7, and I have an entire web site devoted to documenting its construction. If you are interested in seeing what involved in aircraft construction, please visit http://www.RV7Factory.com. In addition, you can read a little bit more about me and my aviation history on the about me page of the site, and there’s even a cool video to watch. Well, at least I think it’s cool.
I currently reside (and fly) in the San Francisco, CA area with my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and my sidekick Sonoma (a yellow lab).
I’d enjoy hearing from you, so please fill out the form below to send me an email.
